I work for a security company...so I would have to go with a big fat NEITHER. Guards are worthless.

neither, when my sister went to the Planned parenthood clinic in lawrence, that didnt stop some psycho that protested abortion and Birth control. I took care of it myself while my sister did her check-up.

Whoever can do the job. It doesnt matter, I can usually fight or at least out run most people.

It wouldn't matter to me one way or the other. I think either one can be sufficient or a complete waste of time. I don't think gender matters in either case.

Well, assuming that a security guard would make me feel safe, the gender of the guard wouldn't matter. I'm more interested in their ability and competence.
