It's an amazing album, but I still think Sergeant Peppers outplays it. Peppers is not only musically brilliant, but the songs are so memorable, and singable. And they are still being sung after 40 years.
-
What about Led Zeppelin I, II and III?
-
Damn near one of them anyway!
-
Influential but it's not even Floyd's best.
-
If you're a laser rock show, sure. If not, then I'd keep looking.
-
Hell Freezes Over
-
Eh. It's up there.
-
not greatest but maybe in the top 20.....
-
Definitely an excellent album, but I can't agree that it's the all-time greatest.
-
in my top 50 albums ( out of 4000*) that I own * LP's and cd's ** excludes 8tracks and cassetts
-
It's up their with the best!

It's up there, but, I personally think "The Wall" is even higher up than Dark Side.
-
Not the greatest, though in the top 20 I'd say.
-
One of my staples since the late '70's. I think this is the fourth time I'm buying this same album, on new media.
-
Pink Floyds Dark Side is in the top ten for sure....
-
not the greatest album ...but a worthy top 20 album
-
Well up ther but not even the Floyd's greatest!
-
Not quite the greatest for me. Wish You Were Here is just a notch above it. Still an amazing album that was way ahead of its time. I still listen to it regularly.
-
One of my favorites!
-
what
-
Floyd's best!
-
Quite a good one. But I preferred Ummagumma. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ummagumma

I like The Division Bell better, but it's all Pink Floyd and IMO they're the greatest!
-
i'm gonna go with what.
-
Certainly well up there . I have my Mothers version of it on vinyl.
-
Top 10 maybe. The best is Physical Grafitti by Zep. IMO

I liked The Wall better than Dark Side, to be honest.
-
Animals
-
best thing since sliced bread

-
Defo. Pink Floyd's best album and Floyd are up there with the greats.
-
I'm a "Piper" kinda gal, but definitely have a special place in my heart for Dark Side... I suppose Dark Side has stood up to the test of time better than the other Pink Floyd albums though, except arguably The Wall.
-
Pink Floyd. What else needs to be said? For a great compilation and one of the greatest guitar solos ever produced anywhere by anyone: A: Delicate Sound of Thunder/Comfortably Numb
-
I give it a YES!! Dogs of War was one of my favorites.
-
Pink Floyd not timeless. heh heh heh I like Mother. Which side of the moon is the dark side again? I forget.
-
Are you guys sure it isn't, like, one really long playing LP that lasted about 6 years and has this letter inside the jacket? Atom Heart Mother, Found More Meddle Relics Obscured by Clouds On The Dark Side of the Moon. Wish You Were Here, Ummagumma Wow. I thought I had it together.
-
Floyds best
-
