I've heard that drowning would be one of the most peaceful ways to die, because of the fact that the last thing you experience is slowly floating upwards.

neither....I would hate to die falling from a plane or in mid air....that would really suck...you would see you death coming, literally, from a mile away...or up in this case...;)

Death by fire. It is said drowning you just lose consciousness and slip away. Death by fire must be excruciating to the very last moment. How can we really know?, but I would prefer my family to be able to see me without too much extra distress

Fire. The burning! I have a similar question I like to pose to people though: Would you rather freeze to death or burn to death? Anyone who says burn must truly have lost their marbles. o_o
