Would you ever need an Ejector Seat in a Helicopter?

If the helicopter was going down it would be better to eject and come down by parachute BUT you would have to be ejected out sideways because going up would send you into the propeller.

There are already ejector seats on helicopters, But the helicopters they are installed on also feature explosive charges to blow the Rotor clear before the pilot is ejected.
