Scientifically, no. Time is simply based on our orbit around the sun. On a deeper level, I suppose time could seem to be an illusion to some.

Not according to the defnintion of the word "illusion", which is what we perceive is not there. We can't perceive time and it is there.

No sir. If time did not elapse that would mean that whenever you went out shopping or something you would arrive home at the same time you were leaving; all your birthdays would happen at the same time and you would be born at the same instant that you die. How would you like that?

I believe so. Thinking about time passing creeps me out. I don't know why.

No, it's a real thing. However, I would like to see a good definition of time that isn't circular (i.e. doesn't use words that also have the word "time" in their definitions).
