Does anyone know of any suspension groups in the san francisco/sacramento area? i've checked suspension.org and BMEzine but couldn't find any.

Find the most heavily modded and qualified piercer in your area. Become friendly with them, and mention that you are interested in suspension. They'll probably know someone if they aren't into it themselves.

I have seen some of that freaky crap in magazines, that is painful just to look at, can't even imagine participating.
