  • to me one of the most important things is how versatile that person is.the first actor that comes to mind is Anthony Quinn ,no matter what he played,he was always so believable.he could play any part and you would think, thats what he s like in real life.my next choice would be Christopher Walkin ,another actor that seems to be able to carry any part ,and carry it well.
  • If, while you're watching, you believe in the character he's playing and never think of a previous performance.
  • I consider someone a good actor if when I'm watching them, I forget that they are that actor. They completely inhabit their role. Tom Hanks immediately comes to mind. When I watch Forest Gump, within minutes of the movie starting, I totally believe he is that character and Tom Hanks "disappears."
  • How well they play their parts and whether or not their acting is believable.
  • Many factors.. -They're body language to project an emotion. -They're facial expressions to project an emotion. -They're tone of voice which reflects the emotion being projected. -The ability to make their acting believable for the specific audience. - Their depth of the particular character (ie playing the role like you ARE the character). - Interaction with other actors in the scene/ ability to act with other characters and keep it believable. I highly reccomend these books entitled No Acting Please, On Method Acting and To The Actor.
  • You got to suspend disbelief and think: Oh there's____ (Insert a name of a favorite actor here) and think instead: I'm watching a character or person going throufh an specific situation or telling a story credibly. Also they should convey all types of emotions without seeming to try too hard (over-acting), in my opinion.
  • Presumably how well they can convince us they are who they are supposed to be. People say Michael Caine is a good actor, as far as I am concerned the only person he has ever convinced me about is that he plays himself in every film, which in my mind makes him a lousy actor
