Should the staff penalty box someone who thinks it's cute or funny to answer, "Who is (some other Answerbagger) ?" with "Someone who's heavily into child pornography."?

Yes, I do. An accusation such as that, while meant lightheartedly or not, is serious and without humor. It's no different than a bomb threat in the current climate. A statement like that could bring some unintended consequences and if a person doesn't know how to censure himself, then he needs a little reminder.

I think that because this is written on line that this person could be prosecuted for libel. The penalty box would be the nothing compared to that. This kind of thing just should not be over looked.

I do not think that is cute or funny and can damage someones reputation. Not only that but the poerson who thinks it's funny to answer that way can find themselves in deep legal trouble even if it was just meant as a joke if the individula being named decides to take legal action for defamation of character.

Anyone who says something that terrible about somebody deserves whatever they get. Penalty box, libel suit, etc. Hell yes, they deserve the penalty box!

That sounds justifiable to me. Any character assassination would warrant a penalty of 3 day most likely.
