• OK, so how would finger prints help find a missing child? They would need to know where that child was in the first place in order to find the prints to compare them too.
  Also, how many parents, no matter how poor, do not have a photo of any child? NONE! The only reason this is being done is to create a national database of fingerprints and DNA (and they do get DNA from fingerprints!)

• LOL you are stuck in the conspiracy world bro...The ability to obtain a reliable DNA profile from a fingerprint is dependent on the number of CELLS collected from a fingerprint. Fingerprints do not have a large number of cells (or nuclei from which DNA can be extracted). The amount of DNA associated with a fingerprint will vary from person to person and can even vary with the same person from one day to the next.

• I really wish you knew what you were taslking about. Download a documentary called "commiting the perfect murder" its a BBC Horizan program and it clearly states that enough DNA can ALLWAYS be gotten from any fingerprint!
  Yes it does vary from day to day but it is allways high enough for a DNA profile to be established!

• LOL, its true that the BBC does not allways tell the truth, but Horizan is a world renoun program that DOES tell the truth, plus it has been backed up by many reputable magazine all over the world including many many many scientific papers written by some of the most skilled forensic scientists in the world.

• The fact that I studied forensic science, and knowing that finger prints rarely carry enough DNA (not saying that it isnt possible to extract from one)to get a positive reading, I will have to say that they are Bloody full of it...;)

• Well your probably more educated in this field than I am so I will back down, I only know what I have read and ofc that could be wrong! But I still would not allow my child to participate in this because of the national database/big brother thing!

• Hmmmm that is completely untrue! As soon as the government get the info they will keep it!
  Governemtns (especially the US government) are extreamly dishonest!
  I would not trust the american government to do anything they claim they will do and I gaurentee that they will keep a copy of these finger prints!
  If it is just for the parents case then why involve the police at all? It is extreamly easy to take finger prints! Just go to the store and buy some ink and paper, there you go!
