  • I would absolutely say you have a defense! If the first huge sign said construction zone 65 MPH, then there is no way they should have been able to write you a ticket for going 20 over. I would definately take this one to court and fight it. In the very least the judge will probobly waive the points on you lisence or lower the fine. GOOD LUCK!
  • By your own admission, you state there was a 7 ft. tall sign, warning you of the construction zone and the posted speed limit. what else is required? What possible defense do you believe you have for the speeding citation? Go to the four hour defensive driving class.
  • I am going to second asizemore's answer and suggest that you go back to the area and take pictures of the signs, preferably have someone else take the pictures as you drive through that construction zones so that you can show the court how difficult it is to see the other signs.
