It all depends on where you work, the conditions of your work area(like expensive computer equipment, etc.), the company rules and the number of co-workes. As a general rule, its okay as long as the doughnut gesture does not interfere with your work. Once a month, before roll call, someone brings in an army of doughnuts for us. this is to be expected, since we are the police. a nice gesture from neighborhood watch groups in Nashville.

yep! bringing food to a new job is a great way to meet people. whoever picks up food and eats will most likely say thanks and you can start a conversation with them from there.
