How well did you think Spiderman 3 presented the Venom character?

personally, i thought the venom character should have been more intimidating and much larger than poor little topher grace. however, in an interview, the director said he tried to portray venom as more of an 'alter ego' of spiderman, thus attempting to make him more similar to spiderman's size. he wanted the character to have opposite characteristics of peter parker, but to be similar in size and stature.
