Test the fuel pump, take the fuel line off and have someone turn the key to the "On" position. The fuel pump should run for a few seconds and you should get fuel out of the fuel line that was disconnected. If it comes out slow replace the fuel filter. (follow the fuel line back to find it.) If you get nothing, then try to find the fuel pump relay and replace it. But if you can start it multiple times and it runs for a few seconds each time I will point my finger at the fuel pump. Not fun or cheap to replace. You can test the fuel pressure using a $20 test kit from a auto parts store, but if you think it may be the fuel pump, might as well have a mechanic look at it.
