I don't eat pig, so I would enjoy the fish sticks and ask if they had any tartar sauce.
-
eat the strips of bacon & get me a slice of cheese & 2 slices of bread & make me a fish sandwhich.
-
Thank them for going to the trouble of cooking me dinner, then eat. I love fish sticks and bacon. Strange combination but hey, don't bite the hand that feeds you, right?
-
I'd eat it up. I love fish sticks and I love bacon.
-
I don't like pig, so I'll leave that. Fishsticks... well, those are American, I think we call them fishfingers, but still... I don't know. It would depend on the circumstances.
-
I will eat the whole thing! Why not? I will ask for two pieces of bread, make toast and improvise a new sandwich. It will be called the "pigandfishstick" special.
-
Say thank you and eat later.
-
I"d say thank you and think well of them, that that was the best they cold do as my friends. I might try to make it look better by making a sandwich out of it but try to do it without hurting their feelings. If it was clearly a joke, I'd eat it without a word and really play it up with gusto.
-
I would thank them and eat it. It may not be the best combination but I would consider it thoughtful and there would be no need to be rude by commenting on the "menu".
-
i would say wow my favorite, how did you know?i wouldn t want them to feel bad seeing as they went to all that trouble for me,but i never buy pork products myself, fish of any kind i do like.
-
I'd tell them flat out that I am not hungry. I never heard of a worse dinner than that. I'd ask them if they even know anything about what I like or dislike. Sounds nasty all the way.
-
I would probably thank the person for all the trouble of cocking and then take the person out for dinner cause I'm allergic to fish and i don't like bacon and would be as polite as i can cause that situation would suck.
-
I'd eat it and thank them and tell them it is declicious.
-
I'd eat it - I love both. And if I didn't like it - I'd eat it then too. It's rude to not eat what is served.
-
No problem with me. I'm not too demanding and happen to like both. What drink would go with that? :)
-
Okay, well Porno Trots says 'fishsticks' are fish fingers. I really don't understand why so many people think this is a bizarre or nasty thing to be served. Granted, I wouldn't serve it to a guest but it's acceptable food in my opinion. Anyway...I'd thank them for going to the trouble and tell them I'm vegetarian. And actually it was my fault for not telling them that *before* they cooked me dinner.
-
I'm a fox...a carnivore. I'd eat it!
-
I's say thank you..it might be all they could afford..and I hate to cook so i would be grateful.
-
I would say thank you and will ask for more.. lol!
-

-
Ask what bad things I have done to them and then ask why they are trying to kill me.
-
I would be grateful for the food and the invite
-
not eat the bacon
-
If they were thoughtful enough to cook it, I'd eat it and every single bite, as if it were a meal prepared by a world class chef, and I'd thank them for it.
-
Thank them for the food and take it and eat. Its really simple :D
-
I'd ask for some ketchup and lemon juice and dig in! I love fish sticks, and I like bacon, so I'd eat it. No problem. Oh - and Fun Ms. Cruise Director - I found the perfect drink to go with your bacon meals....
-
Mangia...and assume they don't know how to cook and did the best they could.
-
I would be flattered that they felt close enough to me there was no need for false, extra effort. And I would enjoy dinner... it may not be healtiest menu, but I love them both... Hopefully, we could eat ice-cream out of the cartons for dessert!
-
I would eat fish sticks and bacon. I appreciate any time someone takes their time to do something for me. : )
-
I would do my best but I do not eat fish fingers , well have not eaten them for many years. I would certainly try. For jaysuse sake if I can force myself to eat Kedgeree I can force down a fish finger that somebody has been kind enough to cook for me.
-
I would eat both, and then thank you for making me dinner, as I know only you would mix those two things. How's about a beer?
-
Ask for seconds. A red wine would go good with that.
-
I would just let them know that it was wonderful thing to do, because deep down I would feel loved, because they went out of their way to cook up something just for you.
-
Puke, then run to the nearest exit....taxi for one!!!
-
Offer to go out to red lobster.
-
i would ask for bread and make myself a bacon sarnie, and try to eat a little of the fishfingers! I wouldnt be rude though and say 'what the hell is this'!! The person had obviously tried their best.
-
I would think you were the one making me dinner, so I would follow you around all night to see if you were magnetically drawn to the computer to know for sure.
-
try my best to eat it .but if i new the person well id laugh my head of and say whats that to be
-
Eat the bacon, of course. This ABer *loves* bacon!
-
Slap the shit out of him.
-
I would put ketchup on the fishsticks, and eat both!
-
Enjoy the meal and get seconds on the bacon. Then I would probably ask for a glass of milk.
-
eat it.
-
I would eat it because I like both fishsticks and bacon. However, I think your question wasn't so much what I like to eat as it was a question of what is appropriate dinnar fare when someone is offering to "cook you dinner". At least that's the way I'm reading it. After all, the category you asked your question in is "Dinner Behavior" so I'm going to assume this is why you asked...the best way to respond to a situation you would prefer not to be in but don't want to offend. If you have no allergies to fish or pork, the polite thing to do is eat it. Not wolf it down to get it over with and not eat it all the while making ugly faces, but eat it congenially. If you do not eat meat, then you can explain how much you appreciate their effort to cook for you but you don't eat meat and apologize for not letting them know this ahead of time. As to the fish, you can either include it as "meat" in your book, or you can eat some of it as congenially and politely as possible. Generally speaking, if you know what something is but you aren't a "fan" of it, then eating a small portion of it won't kill you.
-
enjoy ask for some bread or rolls
-
I would be happy- I love fish sticks and I love bacon. I'd mow down!
-
I would eat fish sticks and bacon, and enjoy the company. Next time they invited me for dinner I woudl say "Oh no, you cooked last time, let's eat at my house this time."
-
Enjoy the meal; I'd appreciate their kindness, besides, I love bacon... :-)
-
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm fish sticks and bacon
-
Nothing. I would enjoy it. And just assume that person must be really low on food. Combining fish sticks and bacon.
-
eat it
-
I would eat the fish sticks but politely tell the host/hostess that I do not eat pork.
-
ask them if they would marry me.
-
Eat and have a good time hopefully!
-
OMG i would laugh inside and when they werent looking i would take a picture with my phone and send it to my friends...
-
Throw up on his sofa.
-
Drink lots of water LOL!!!! Eat in moderation, leave early..."I think I left the oven on at home!!!"
-
I would say thanks very much and eat it!
-
I'd politely decline to eat. I'd explain I hadn't eaten either in years, didn't intend to start, and wonder how they'd missed the message that I was a vegan.
-
I would thank them and eat
-
Eat it. You do not insult your host(ess).
-
I'd enjoy the dinner they made for me, hopefully they also had macaroni and cheese to go with the fish sticks! :)
-
OH GOD I love fish sticks lol :D I haven't had those in YEARS! The bacon makes an odd combination, but give me some tartar sauce for the fish sticks and I'm there. :)
-
ARe you going for the company or the food? Perhaps this is all they can afford? I'd be grateful for what was being put down in front of me. For some people, this is considered a full meal. Next time, you offer to cook but remember, you cannot expect them to have the same standards as you in terms of food - ie, if you make a gourmet dinner, don't expect them to do the same. It's not a competition, or a tit-for-tat type situation. It's a matter of remembering the priorities. Now, in saying all of this... if you know they're actually able to afford better or able to put more effort in and you're aware they put more effort in with others but just not you, then perhaps you need to look at the reasons for this and if it still bugs you, then address it with them in a polite (as much as you can be polite anyway) manner.
-
I rather dislike fish but I love bacon so I would probably wrap the fish in the bacon to mask the taste and quickly eat a few, I hate to be rude. If someone took the time to make me anything for dinner it would make me feel special. And since they show an interest in cooking I would probably buy them a cookbook for their birthday.
-
depends do they have a dog? j/k I'd eat it anyway, I wouldn't want to hurt their feelings.
-
i'd appreciate the fact that they cooked for me and i'd enjoy the fishsticks and bacon
-
If somebody wants to cook for me, I will gratefully accept it, regardless of whether I like it or not. I believe an act of kindness should always be responded to with gratitude.
-
I WOULD HAVE TO DECLINE ON THAT MEAL. FISH AND BACON, I CANT RECALL EVER PUTTING THOSE TWO ON MY PLATE AT THE SAME TIME. WTF???
-
eat it anyway in appreciation 'cause I can't remember the last time anyone cooked for me :(
-
Probably eat it,I like fish sticks and bacon, but mabey just not together:)
-
I'd eat the bacon and thank them for the meal. I'd try my best to ignore the fish sticks. (Having a developmental disability means that I'm sometimes allowed to be weird like that.)
-
I'd ask for some tartar sauce.
-
I'd love the bacon and hopefully they would have some tartar, or is it tarter, for the fish.
-
I would love them dearly! They obviously have a sense of humour, which is very attractive ^_^
-

-
I'd eat it but only if the bacon was wrapped around the fish sticks. Thank you very much. That's a weird combo.
-
Ask for tartar sauce for my fishsticks. And hopefully the bacon is crispy!
-
Yes, but only if the bacon was wrapped around the fish sticks. That's a weird combo.
-
yes
-
Happily chow down.
-
I'd eat fish sticks and bacon!
-
EAT IT.
-
Umm... ewww..... I'd probably eat a small amount of the fish sticks, to be polite, and then I think I'd move the rest around my plate and say I was full... Gross...
-
I'd probably thank the person and eat it.
