I'd take it home and run it through my cross cut shredder and make confetti out of it.

I'd rip it up & throw it away. Or I might write VOID on it, tear it in half, and mail it back to the owner, with a note saying "Don't Worry, Be Happy -- Now just do one good deed for a stranger, & we'll be even."

Iwould write void across the check and send it back to the person who lost it.I've actually had someone do this for me!!

Kick it, and crumple it up into a small ball. Then I'd rip the check.
