Some people have been saying that the way they approach grief in Bridge To Terabithia is too mature for children. what do you think? my opinion is posted below.

I disagree that it is too mature for children. Children that know grief will understand perfectly and children that don’t will not understand and therefore it is not too mature for those that don’t understand. For those who do understand, grief is always too mature for children but that doesn’t stop them experiencing it. and if they have already experienced it, It will not matter if it is in a movie because it will make them sad for awhile, as it will do with adults as well, but since they already know grief it will not make a lasting impact on them. So I think people are wrong in saying that this aspect of Bridge To Terabithia is too mature for children.
