Low fat would probably taste different than light, but I'd be willing to bet both taste bad. I'd stick with the original, enjoy it more but use less of it.

I haven't seen the low-fat, but I use the light and I think it tastes fine.

According to the Kraft website, if you live in the US there is only no-fat or light, no low fat is available. The original miracle whip contains the least additives, more oil than vinegar, and the least amount of high fructose corn syrup than the other two. http://tinyurl.com/2v4pbp The light contains more additives, and more vinegar than oil. http://tinyurl.com/2wmrd2 The no fat contains the most additives, the most high fructose corn syrup (more syrup than vinegar and not a lot of oil at all) it gets its consistency from the modified starches and xanthan gums that it contains. http://tinyurl.com/2prn2j The reason they all taste different is that fat gives food flavour, and this is hard to replace with added flavours, same as the texture being hard to match with food gums. Making a low or no fat food means you have to add a lot of other items (additives) to try to achieve the same flavour and texture but it is very difficult to achieve with something like a creamy mayonnaise type dressing.

Be careful! Some "light" mayos are LOADED with High Fructose Corn Syrup. Bad stuff...

Lite and low fat mayo is not worth using. They still have calories and not flavor so why add them. Just do without or substitute sour creme, creme cheese, or cottage cheese. These products can be found in low fat and fat free and taste good. Yogurt is also a good sub for mayo.
