That's a new one for me! Anytime you take in a new animal you SHOULD have them vet checked within a 24 to 48 hour period. This is just good preventative health care...so that your Vet can check and make sure all is right and well. I'd suggest that you get a small container with a very tight fitting lid and catch up some of this day-glow piss and take it in for a lab test. I don't recall a UTI causing THIS color before, but there's always a first time for everything! Urine tests typically cost between $12 and $15 dollars with most Vets...they can check and be sure there is NOT a UTI brewing in there, as well as check the ph levels.

I wouldnt be overly concerned, it could be they wer giving the doog vitamins or food supplements that did this. Is the dog starting a new diet since living with you? this could clear up in a day.. I wouldnt worry but if it persists for more than 2 days I would see a vet. Call the shelter and ask them what he was eating..

Bright neon? wow. I dunno about dogs - but for me-- if I see my pee is quite yellow - I need to drink more. If it's more clear, then I know I'm taking in a good amount of fluids. Keep lots of water on hand for him. See if that makes any change.

Bright yellow is happy pee! :) This is a good thing, this means whatever your dog was consuming at the shelter was healthy, because bright neon yellow is about the healthiest color your can get for pee. You should only be concerned if the pee is real dark or redish. Bright good, dark bad! Congrats!
