Good comebacks are usually timely and appropriate to the circumstances. "Whatever" was used up in the early 2000's.

One that seems very popular and never ceases to amaze me in how pointless it is: Take whatever the "aggressor" said to you, take the noun out of it, and replace it with "your mom". For example, if someone were to say to you: "You're really ugly." You'd say: "Your mom's really ugly." But then the issue comes when you need to deal with OTHER people's "your mom" jokes. But for any of those jokes, this is probably the best I would come up with: "You would know. You slept with her." If nothing else, just say "thank you". Haha, nobody ever expects it, and they just stand in stunned silence, while you walk away.
