If everything you state is true then yes you have a case. Make notes, take pictures, and try to show the perspective the officer would've had. Driving too close is usually defined as within a car length. If you were 3 or 4 car lengths away that should be enough room. I don't know if this was a highway or a city road because you don't say, but you need to evaluate the circumstances and make a decision. Is it worth waiting a year to fight it? Do you have enough evidence? Is it just your word against the officer's? Do you have a clean record? You need to ask these questions of yourself and a few more like those. I say you have a case, but I wasn't there and can't stand behind that statement 100%. Good luck

You won't get your case dismissed unless you take it to trial. The officer will have a chance to tell his story first, then you go. The judge will be inclined to believe he officer, who has gone to witness school and knows how t word his story. It's an uphill battle for you but the answer that suggested preparing your own evidence makes a lot of sense. Good luck.

Geek's right... fight it if you're being honest. Would be something I know I'd be pretty proud of in the end.
