  • I think that would be RARE . go see a doctor or dentist and get his/her professional oppinion. to be on the safe side.
  • If its hardened plaque, brushing wont work as its already calcified. A dentist can get it off with a tartar remover (tartar being hardened plaque), or you can do it yourself with a suitable implement - a dental tartar scraper.
  • Your mouth is actually a very discusting place. Many people don't realize but there is an extreme build up of guk. I also have that on my bottom ball. It's completly normal. Just like your teeth the tongue ring can yhave plaque and food and other things stuck too it. You can normally get it off my brushing it but maybe you should just invest in a new ball...and take better care of the new one by brushing it regularly...like maybe once a week.
  • I have the same thing on the bottom of mine, i brush real well too, i dont find it to be anything to worry about. Its just there, its happened to all the tongue rings that i buy, but soaking it in alcohol for awhile gets all the stuff off.
  • I had that too when I had my tongue pierced. I think everyone gets it. Just take the barbell out, and scrape it off. I doubt it's anything to worry about.
  • I was just at the dentist today LOL and i have my tongue peirced. he said hes glad to see i have plastic balls first of all because the metal balls cause infection and take the enamel off of the back of your teeth and he was glad to see I had no plaque on the bottom of my tongue ring ball. he said that when that happens, it can cause infections in the mouth. So, its not a serious issue, but make sure you either change the ball once in a while or clean it a lot! Wouldn't want to chance an infection..atleast I wouldn't!!
