  • Not to me..But in our society it has.. just look at the divorce rate.. when I was YOUNG it was taboo to be divorced and hush hush, now it everyday practice. We have lost our values in marrage and take it for granted! (thats just the way I feel)
  • To some yes, to some no. In general, yes, it has lost a lot of its value. With divorces being so easy to get, and affairs becoming more acceptable there is a lot attacking marriages today. It isn't respected by many people any more, so staying in a healthy lifelong marriage is more of a challenge now then anytime....but still well worth it. So, short answer, marriage hasn't lost its value, people have lost theirs.
  • I think that most people today see Marriage as a wedding not something that is eternal and everlasting. People get so caught up in the glamour of it all that they forget they're going to be together forever. I wish I could say that I believe I can love someone forever, but I truely don't know. I believe in an everlasting marriage I have plenty of examples and I truly do think that the marriages that last forever are done with gods help and support. a lot of prayer.
