I tend to avoid that feeling in the first place. When it hits, though, I cook myself an awesome meal, eat it, and then go to bed.

I call my mom - and she gives me that, "put your big girl panties and deal with it" speech. And it sort of slaps me back to reality and I go about my merry way :oP Chocolates, a good dinner, a bottle of nice wine and a long bubble bath with a new book also helps!

I am a depressive, and on medication, but I still get mood swings. I also have a daughter who is the same. I can only say that, if you have seen the doctor, and gone for the counselling, and you still are in the pit, then only you can do something about it...and the the best thing is to do something...anything...go for a walk, lift weights, get out and get active. It is precisely what you don't feel like doing, but it is the best thing for you. Take little steps, one at a time, and soon the fog will start to lift bit by bit. All the best.

I tend to listen to music, or just sleep it off. My favourite song for this would be: "Don't worry, be happy" by Bobby McFerrin Also, I tend to look for stuff to laugh at, often crazy thoughts that I FORCE myself to laugh at. "That bird must think its so cool hopping around like that." Worrying only makes things worse! Be positive!
