Of course I could survive, though I might need assistance sometimes. Whether I would want to survive is an entirely different matter.

It's a misconception that people cannot do many things if they are paralyzed. With paralysis of the legs it is still possible in many cases to: use the bathroom, shower, drive, have a job, and pursue other interests such as sports and hobbies. brainandspinalcord.org has lots of information on brain and spinal cord injuries, such as the prevention of a paralyzing injury or the recovery from one.

that's kind of a strange question. Do you mean 'personally' could "I" deal with it? Or, as I read the question, do you mean "YOU" in a general sense, like, could 'anybody'? Surely you've been out in public enough to know that there are a LOT of people who are paraplegic. I'm sure there's some limitations, but, damn, did you see the movie Murderball?
