Honestly, no I don't. I understand it hurts people's feelings, but I think when you post an answer on here (whether it includes your picture or not), you need to be prepared for it to be down rated. Part of being an Answerbagger is understanding that while most of us are nice enough people, there are a copious amount of a$$holes on here who will down rate for the fun of it. They'll also enjoy telling you how ugly you are or whatever, not because it's true or they even believe it, but because THEY'RE hurting and they 'need' to make others hurt too. Answerbag is a great lesson in human behaviour and psychology, and I think taking away the ability to rate on these questions would somehow detract from this valuable lesson.

Top notch idea, I think it would hurt my feelings if my pic got down rated. That is more than just rude, it's mean. Since I can't give you points I'm giving you some flowers.

Thats a really good idea! I totally agree. It probably really offends some people

Why do you even care about points? It's not like they're good for anything.

I don't really know but I find it a bit mean when someone does such a thing. We all must understand that although this is a web site and is shown all over the world it is a reflection of how things work in real life. We simply can't please everyone. We must also realize that there are some who just feel the need to make others feel the pain they seem to feel for themselves. Misery loves company sort of thing. For all those who has ever had someone down rate their photo or even gotten a rude comment about their looks I am truly sorry but just remember for every one person on this planet that thinks your are ugly there are 10 that can see your true beauty.

I've put in a suggestion that the questioner or answerer be allowed to turn off ratings for their Q or A. This is would be especially good for congrats and birthday questions and answers, for the "question extension" answers, for anyone who finds they are suddenly being DRed for no reason, such as in this case, etc. Of course, they could be turned back on, say if others asked them to, or they wished to see if they WOULD get any points for it. And, they could be turned off at any time, say if people start calling them points farmers when this wasn't the idea of the Q/A at all. Otherwise, I'm not sure HOW they'd be able to accomplish your suggestion programmmatically. There are times a picture or video is worth a thousand words, and posting one should not be an unratable question or answer. With the option to turn off ratings, it would alleviate the problem. ;-)
