  • They hate the smell of moth balls...so I would put them bad boys EVERYWHERE! But, the fumes can be caustic, so make sure there is PLENTY of ventilation.
  • Get a rat terrier. He will keep the snakes down around the property. Well any terrier will probably do it. They are bread to keep vermin down. No vermin no snakes to eat vermin.
  • A Jack Russell might be a good choice of terrier too.
  • I am terrified of snakes. I was advised to try Snake-Away. It is supposed to be effective, but it is also expensive. I was also warned to make sure there are no snakes in your home or in the perimeter of your your yard before you use it because it will trap them inside. • I would think that the first thing I would do is find out where they are getting in and put a stop to it. I have heard of several "remedies" but have never put any of the to the test. I have heard that sprinking a circle of lime aroud the house will keep them away. Also, now this sounds a little far fetched but I swear I have heard it more than once. It seems that snakes will not crawl over a hemp rope...something about the fibers. I find that one a little hard to swallow and if I ever have to opportunity I will try that one out myself.
  • You might be near or on a nest of snakes. If you are near a den or nest of rattlers, get a professional out and they will solve your problem, quickly. My firends had to do that as they had children and animals and didn't want the unthinkable to happen. Now, no more snakes! What kind of snakes do you have? If they aren't poisonous, why bother about it. They are very good for rodent control and I'd rather have a snake than rats or mice running around that carry disease and spread such filth around. I actually had a gopher snake come into my home, my aviary room to be specific. I love him there as he kept th emice away and they were eating alot of my seed and pooping all over everywhere, yuck! He lived in there for almost 2 years. Snake scan be good.
