Which looks better: neckties or bow ties?

It's a personal thing really to say what looks better, but I have to say I prefer the neck tie. I think bow ties look a bit like the person is being strangled and usually you have to have a pretty important occasion to warrant one. Plus I can't wear one without looking like some sort of prostitute, and I always prefer what I can wear and look decent in. Therefore, I am going with the neck tie

Bow Ties. I just think they have a more sharper and modern appearance.

Neck ties. To me bow ties seem kind of geekish unless worn with a tuxedo.

I think some people look like Orville redenbacher when wearing a bow tie... I prefer neck ties.

One person I know said bow ties are only for boys, until they're 12 or maybe 15/16 or something. Then they shall change to neck tie, this person said. But some have to wear it as a part of their uniform at work, instead of a neck tie. They may work in some hotels, restaurants or as domestic workers.
