    I live in Delaware, but have not been to the contest. A few years ago I did see one of the pumpkin chuckers in action. It was in Delaware City “chucken” pumpkins into the Delaware River toward Fort Delaware on Pea Patch Island. It was a pneumatic cannon. It was pretty cool to watch. It could really send a pumpkin flying.
