  • i would play dead.
  • I'd like to think I would be brave, but I don't know what I would be like put in that situation. I don't think anyone knows until the moment.
  • Depends on the situation and if I'm in a area where I can help then yes I would help
  • I'd want to be brave very very much, i'd give my life for someone else but in those cicumstances...I really don't know. I'm afraid I'd go hide...or id cry pathetically and hope to be pitied *embarrased and shameful blushing*
  • thats one of those situations where instincts would kick in and i have no idea what i would do. i would like to think of myself as a hero but well see
  • If I felt like I was just waiting to be slaughtered then I would make some kind of attempt. Maybe pick up the thickest book I could find and use it as a shield. Maybe schools should use a concealed system of sleeping gas? We should do something radical to combat these shootings.
  • If I were the teacher I would do what I could to protect the kids but if I were a kid I think I would hide or play dead.
  • I definitely think this is a situation where you wouldn't REALLY know how you'd behave until it happens. But in theory, I would probably try to step up. If I really thought I was going to die if someone didn't do something, then I'd go ahead and do something myself. There's no reason not to at least TRY and save yourself and/or others.
  • I don't know. Sometimes situations move so fast for me that I am usually surprised at my actions afterwards. I do not think that our head and heart work so well together when the old ticker speeds up. I hope that I would at least do some good in a situation like that. And that if I hide that I at least take someone with me and find a safe place to wait it out.
  • run fast
  • I'm too old to hang out in a high school, but generally if I am near a shooting anywhere, you'd be safe to bet on the second bang being mine, and it will be the last bang. I don't usually go into situations where I cannot carry my .45 auto.
  • id run
  • it depends on if i knew the shooter or not. I try to be nice to everybody so i would try to talk the person out of it if i knew them. If i didn't know them then i would run my ass out of there.
  • Since it's unlikely I would be in any school these days, the question is moot.
  • I would try to save others.
  • probably shoot back if i went to that bad a school
  • I would have to try and stop it..or die trying anyway :)
  • I don't know. That is the simple answer. Situations are unpredictable; I would like to think that if I could do something, I would be brave and do whatever I could. It would all depend on what opportunities present. Certainly, if I could jump the guy (or girl I suppose) and disarm them, I would. I would need to be in a good tactical position though. I may study martial arts, but I wouldn't like my chances against an automatic weapon and it wouldn't just be risky to myself, but to others. What I see as most likely happening, is me hiding and waiting for an opportunity to do something to intervene, or failing that, go get help.
