  • But it had 2 strong back legs, right? I really don't know. They must have been able to get back up, considering they had to sleep and t'would be impossible for a T-rex to sleep standing up. Maybe it could use it's tail?? m really not sure..
  • Yeah, between using it's head, tail and powerful legs it could get up, haven't you ever gotten up without using your arms? It's not easy, but it's possible.
  • By using its tail and legs.
  • Given it's larger bottom half I would imagine that it would be a rare occurance for one to fall over in the first place. Maybe they were like Weebles. You know..Weebles wobble but they don't fall down. But if it did happen, I would imagine it's powerful hind legs and tail would be a great help in getting it back upright.
  • They couldn't get back up because Marc Bolan had died.
  • I saw a documentary with the latest understanding on T-Rex. They now believe it actually 'walked' on its hands! It seems the tiny arms are short, but they said the bones are very thick, suggesting huge muscle mass. It curled its tail backwards [for balance]! Its hunting technique has been re-evaluated as its foot is designed to hang from tree limbs, where it hung, and caught unsuspecting prey off guard. A fascinating dinosaur!
  • I've seen a few documentaries on this and they all portray T-Rex struggling and sometimes dying to get himself back on his feet. Low center of gravity is a good thing which means he was less likely to fall over. He could not run no 25MPH like they portray him in the movies. Most likely this reptile lumbered about looking for carrion and intimidating other hunters away from their kill with those big teeth of his, Oh my! He'd have to squirm about for quit some time until he managed to prop himself up with one leg and get enough force out of the other leg to adjust himself I would imagine. Here's a video for your amusement.
