  • That depends on all sorts of things. My preference (if it were possible) would be a plus 8, but that's just me being greedy, and the fact that the insurance wouldn't bankrupt me due to the mountain of age on which I now sit. Re the restoration, it would also depend on what condition the car was in - for example, wooden chasis ok? If so, and if money/space/time/skill is not a problem, I think the roads could do with another one of these machines on them. The MSCC has a section 'Technical Services Spares' which covers just about anything you may need to replace (but advisable to check availability). Driving? I have to be honest and say I haven't driven one, but I have owned and driven an XK120 replica, and it was a very, very sad day when I had to get rid of it.
