It only took 75 points since the sign up was an automatic 25 points for free. It took me about 3 days. Since I was a newbie at all this and didn't know how answerbag functioned.

I think it took me about a day, I was quickly addicted and answered zillions of questions and earned about 100-150 on my first day or two.

I didn't have a clue then and I don't have a clue now, but what I have learnt is that if you want to build up points quickly keep away from anything factual and answer every opinion question (keep away from religions, though - lots of negs flying about there). It doesn't matter what you say. On Outside the Bag questions you can get 60+ points for saying, "I don't know, but I know how you feel.". If you're after points follow this advice, but if you're after enjoyment ignore it.

I don't know. I was here on the old AB, so when we transferred to the points system I already had thousands of points.
