it unfairly basis the jury. nothing is that clean or clear cut in reality

I think it helps them to better understand or accept technology when it is introduced in a case, but it also creates unrealistic expectations. For instance they may not think there is enough evidence in a case because they expect the CSI team to be able to do things on a regular basis that are really a rarity, because they are depicted on the television show. Not every police department has the latest and greatest toys.

CSI is about as realistic as Aqua Team Hunger Force.
