Well, you're going in baseball season. The best thing to do is catch a Sox game. Maybe go around the Harbor, or check out Quincy Market. Taking a tour on the Freedom Trail is always a good thing, too.

Go on the "duck boats" via the Boston Museum of science. They're the old WWII land/water vehicals. Thats a nice tour. Go to the museum too.

Walk the Freedom trail. It's a line that has been painted through downtown. Find it and just follow it. You will see a lot of the history as well as some interesting places. Plenty of good food and places to stop along the way. Takes the better part of a day to follow the whole trail and see the sites as you walk it.

Two attractions I'd check out, the Museum of Science and the Aquarium. Oh, try and catch a sox game.

I know this might seem touristy, but I really like Faneuil Hall. The Purple Shamrock is a good place to get a beer and people watch. And you have to go to The North End and visit Mike's Pastries, the best in the city (IMO). And LOL about the parking...they are right, it sucks!!!
