  • I feel like I can ask anything here, and also answer questions very openly and honestly, without fear of rejection. I feel like I can be the "real" me here.
  • The replies may be more objective because the people who respond don't know who you are whereas your friends should be on your side to begin with and therefore may not be as straightforward in their opinions because they are more concerned about your feelings.
  • My questions and answers here tend to be a lot more wordy and make fuller use of my intelligence and vocabulary, mostly because whenever I try to speak like that to my very few "Brick and Mortar" aquantainces, they just look at me like I've suddenly grown a third nose in the middle of my forehead.
  • I go alittle easier on answers here. Some people can be so touchy, and I really don't like arguing, especially while typing!
  • Because here on AB if you roll your eyes at me I can't see it - -- lol
  • i would say that probably the most important thing that answerbag has taught me was to double check every answer before i hit that submit button.when people are talking face to face you have the advantage of being able to watch body language, facial expressions and note the tone of voice that people are using, but when reading something, these things are missing.i ve had to re-edit a few answers because i thought that they didn t quite come out right.
  • My friends tend to tell me what I want to hear or what they know I'm thinking. I don't want to be told I'm right all the time. I don't do that to them, so I don't get the deal. Or, you know, if there's something I don't really want to ask them.
  • You get a larger sampling of opinions.
