Not that I know of, studies has shown however, that people who pop their fingers on a regular basis tend to have weaker grips.

I'm not sure, but I don't do it because I think there may be a connection somehow. I had a roommate a while ago who used to crack his fingers on a regular basis. That annoyed the hell out of me.

Not according to a Doctor that taught at my school. Around your joints is a think clear liquid called synovial fliud, and when you 'crack your knuckes' that fluid bubbles and pops, which is where the noise comes from. It takes about 20 mintues or so for this fluid to go back into place around the joint which is why you can not pop them again right away. It is probably not good for the joints but it has not been proven to be linked to arthritis.

I have broken most of my fingers at least once as well as some bones in my right hand. I have also popped my knucles growing up. I also have osteo arthritis in my hands. I don't know if the arthritis came from the injuries or popping my knuckles. either way, I'd say that the kinder we are to our bodies in our lifetimes, the kinder it will be to us later in life.
