Right on the money! I don't know what they do! Heard the other day that China has the world's most contaminated food supply and the FDA checks less than 1% of imports from China. Pretty soon we're going to be reduced to just ingesting boiled water!

A toxic chemical is a toxic chemical, yes, but there are things called toxicity limits, whereby a tiny bit will not hurt you, but a lot will kill you. Even water has a toxicity level, so you need to be open minded about these things. Potatoes contain toxic chemicals at times (the green bits you should avoid) and they have been eaten for years. Perhaps this could be a good reason for you to stay away from processed foods, keep everything in moderation.

The problem is they don't really work for the public, they work for the industries and businesses. I mean, they let the drug companies do their own effectiveness and safety studies on their products. Henhouse with Fox in charge? Only when it really gets to be publicly known or people/animals die do they reconsider things. And if the drug companies want vitamins and herbs banned from being sold to the public, great! They'll do it. If the candy manufacturers want oils and other fats included in chocolate instead of cocoa butter, waht a wonderful idea. Whatever keeps business happy.
