To provide an answer in the general ball-park: One of the best known and most widespread of he earliest sub-class of amphibians were the Labyrinthodonts. The earliest fossils found of these creatures date to around 350,000,000 years ago. The Labyrinthodonts are thought to have evolved from the transitional proto-amphibian Ichthyostegids, which retained some fish-like features.
