I think it was originally just something different and unique. Now, it's getting pretty common to name your daughters with so-called "unisex" names. It's when we start naming our sons with girl names, that I think we will start seeing problems.

If people can call their children 'peaches', 'tiger lilly', 'apples', 'cuthbert'...etc... then anything can happen.
