I really get into NFL football and my female friends do not understand why ....is it odd for a female to enjoy watching football?

I think it is more normal than you think. All I suggest is just watch it with BFs and not girl friends. I tried to get my wife to watch football with me a few years ago, but failed miserably. P.S. I do have to ask, do you like football for watching only or do you play as well?

Not if you're from the south. Southern women are taught to love and appreciate college football. Most of them also take this love to the NFL. I also find women in the upper Midwest (Big Ten country) and Northeast (Jets, Giants, Buffalo, Philly) like football as well.

My wife likes to watch NFL football and we've seen a few Superbowls together. She's from Peru and I love it when she says, "Looky looky! He got it, he got it!" :p

I think less and less women are getting "into" it, (not withstanding Jessica Simpson), but I have known quite a few women who "like" NFL football, and a few who "love" it as much as I do. I don't think your "odd".

Not for my wife, it isn't. Personally, I'd prefer just to watch the cheerleaders rather than a bunch of guys in tight uniforms running around grabbing each other.

I don't think it is odd, but I don't think we get into it as much as the guys. My friends and I just aren't talking sports and don't have it on our minds unless some other guys around us are getting into it.

no it's not odd for a female to like football i do and i know their female that do. you watch your football and she don't like it she can read a book, go home and come back, theirs nothing worry with it you work hard all week and a football game will be nice to look at with a cold beer. hopfully you will find that girl good luck.
