I have a 1991 nissan skyline GT. I want to pull the injectors out and clean them. Is there anything I should be wary of before attempting this job?

Don't bother cleaning. The life expectancy of fuel injectors from Nissan of that age is 80,000 miles or 6 to 8 years. Fuels with MTBE and alcohol tend to degrade the seals and leaks happen. Replacement is the recommended action and new injectors will have seals with better material to resist MTBE and other recent additives.

Make sure you release the pressure first. I would recomend buying a repair manual first. once you have replaced them, or cleaned them and replaced the seals, use lucas tune up in a bottle every two or three tsnks of fuel. I did that to my 89 300zx and got better fuel economy and performance.
