yes i think nearly every one has whether its to do with family, work or relationships, its natural to hang on to something with the hope that things will change for the better it is often less scary than letting go and trying to start over. i have done it many times

Yes I've stayed on my last job longer than I should because the salary was good. But the working conditions were deplorable and I eventually quit.

Yes. There were many dangers, as I well knew, but I stayed on anyway simply because even until the end, the balance of hope and joy outweighed that of pain and sorrow, and given the chance I would do it all over again. Foolish me, eh?

Relationship wise, yes. Ive been with some people much longer than I think I should have even though knew it would never really hit off for forever.

I usually stay in situations longer than i should! Its very bad - but to let go gracefully has never been my strong point. Also i dont know how to say no, or get out of a situation because my instincts say so. I am rather stupid that way.

I was in a job that I felt sucked after 3 months. I should have left, I stayed another 3 months just to make sure I wasn't "over-reacting". I left after 6 months.
