Peterborough Showground in East Anglia England. I am not a fan of fish and chips but that was an outstanding place to eat

Parramatta Station in the mid 1970s. There was this fish and ship shop just next to the taxi rank. I would come in from University and could not resist the smell as I crossed the road to get a taxi. Neither could lots of people, as they would be standing there, eating their fish and chips (which was magnificent BTW) at the taxi rank, while waiting. MMMMMMMM

I make pretty good Fish N Chips but if I had to pick someone else's... Two places come to mind. A small fisherman's pier on Vancouver Island, B.C. ner Victoria and at the 'old' Hof Brau der Albatross in Morro Bay, CA. They really changed when they moved to a new and bigger building. They used to be what I held up as ideal.

A place called "Fish Bone" in London. The fish seemed very fresh and the chips were just great. I have no idea what they fried them in, but it was much more flavorful than anything I've had in the US.
