  • I do know that what you have just posted does not tally with what I have been told by the majority of servicemen I have spoken with. I also know that this is a very good medium for spreading propaganda unsupported by facts, and as such what you have written thus far can be completely disregarded. Update coming...
  • I wanted to add that i have served 2 combat tours and DO support my brothers in arms over there and everything we stand for just not the political red tape, the president, and what the war stands for, but i would and have taken a bullet for my brothers. Thank you!
  • you should write a tell-all book. the media is owned by conservative corporations for the most part. i think many people know this ... especially the ones who have the 'support our troops, bring them home' bumper stickers. i'm sorry you're in the situation you're in. at least there's a new congress who is trying to get you guys out.
  • I saw '60 minutes' episode about this and I would believe it.
  • I know now the truth of what you personally feel, although you can only really speak for yourself and any others you have spoken to on the matter. I'm sure that in the ranks of the military, as in all walks of life, the opinion on the war is divided and contested. I'm sure many soldiers are againts the war, just as some are for it, if *Everyone* were passionately againts it or for it, then there wouldn't be any issue over it. You have every right to offer your opinion on the war, moreso than most people considering that you've served in it, and I might add that I agree with it, but you can't speak for all servicemen and women as a homgeonous mass.
  • The majority of American civilians are against this war because we don't want our peers dying on the other side of the world. We are made to believe you guys are resentful for us being negative about the war. I pay a lot of attention to the Oil War and it is obvious the information is all censored.
  • we know. its just the govt via the media create idiots out of the best of us sometimes and try to create the impression that the troops, like those who returned from Nam, are pissed and demoralised by our lack of support. Its Bull and good luck to my friend, mind how you go and remember we support the troops - not the war. That is the difference, we support you by wanting to bring you home.
  • All you have to do is read the endless blogs and watch u tube to see how you guys really feel. I know first hand how they push you to say one thing and that to be a good little soldier and say what they want you to say, and how they threaten you. Good luck and I hope you get to come home soon.
