I live in an area with rivers, bayous, canals, and the Gulf of Mexico. We practically live in the water. The closest river is the Vermilion River; it's about 5 miles from here. The Mississippi River is about 60 miles from here and the Inter Coastal Canal is about 30 miles away. The Gulf Of Mexico is about 40 miles from here.(even though it is neither a river nor an ocean).

We live on a stream. It's just a few feet, maybe 150' from the house. The pond is only 60'. About 3 miles away is the Susquehanna River, quite a mighty river, floods at the drop of an inch or more of rain. We're in upstate New York.

Tt is also officially the Bristol channel, which is the sea end of the Severn estuary> All of this means that your question leaves me terribly confused.
