I used to be a diet pill junkie! I used Suddenly Slim! products and lost about 13 lbs and have kept it off for a year. I also used Glucofast and it lowered my blood sugar. I'd recommend both, but talk with your MD first.

I tried and the results did not work - years ago

Ive used phentermine & dexamphetamine; both worked a treat. However, doctors are reluctant to prescribe these drugs as they are considered bad for the heart.

I'll admit to trying the cactus derivative, hoodia. It's supposed to have no side effects but it caused palpitations, fainting and general feelings of being unwell. It was a turning point for me from faddy dieting to a complete change of diet. I would really only ever recommend a lifestyle change to lose weight.

Many years ago, in the early seventies, I was on an experimental diet with a doctor in Pasadena, CA. He had me take 3 tupes of pills. The main one was a large capsule with all different colored things inside, pink, blue, aqua. That was my 'food' for the day, just one in the morning and one at night. If I felt hungry (ha, ha, ha!) I could take a combo of other pills...one was hot pink in color and the other was purple and very tiny. I cam to think of these as an upper and a downer taken together. I hardly ever took these because they made me feel just awful! I don't remember what these pills were called, or the name of the program as I was only 17 at the time. I just know the doctor worked in CA and Texas. But I faithfully took the caps and lost a whooping 63 lbs in under 6 weeks. Then I slowed down and lost another 12 pounds. My skin was saggy and alot of my hair just fell out (He told me it might be because My scalp had shrunk! Yeah, right!) I was supposed to keep going to him to learn how to go back to eating food and maintain the weight loss but I moved away and couldn't get back down there. Nevertheless, I still kept it off for many years after gaining back about 20 pounds. After 20 years I really gained it back and more. Then I lost weight again on a different regime, no pills and have been very happy ever since. Those pills were a horrible experience. Yes, they worked, yes, I was thin, but the change happened too fast for my body. I think I still suffer from it.

I used to use ephedra and ephedrine based pills before they became so hard to find. I lost probably close to 30 pounds in a few months on Stackers and Yellowjackets.

I used something called Duromine. I lost quite a lot. I didn't eat for 3 days the first time I had it.
