I feel for them and their families. I have a cousin in Iraq right now. He's a marine helicopter pilot. The sooner he comes home from there the better. My husband has two nephews who are in the Navy who will have to go if the war lasts much longer.

It makes me feel sad for the state of our country. It makes me feel sorry for our soldiers stationed there. It makes me glad that I am out of the military. (I did my 6 years on active duty a long time ago). It confirms the inhumanity of our fearless leader, as well as his stupidity. It causes me to fear the reenactment of a draft to provide victims for his policies. It gives me hope that the Republicans will not be in the White House after January of 2009.

Bush gives a speech claiming the democrats are forcing "draconian measures" that will keep troops in country longer. But he fails to mention that at the same time he is extending their tours. The pentagon releases a report saying there were never any WMD and Osama wasn't working with Saddam. The same day Cheney is on Fox saying the opposite is true. My comment is: What do you expect? This administration LIES. They lie about everything. He says "no one could have predicted the levees would fail" then we see video of him in a meeting with the weather service where they predicted to him that the levees would fail. "if someone in my administration leaked, they will no longer be in my administration", well we all know Cheney and Rove were in on it, have they been fired yet? Of course not. The President says the Dems gave him a bill with pork in it, but fails to mention that all of the "emergency spending bills" the republican congress passed were packed with pork. The truth is the dems have given the troops everything they can and will work to make sure they continue to see that they get what they need during and after their service. Its president bush who will deny the troops with his veto. Did you know that services at walter reed hospital were outsourced? That is why things got so bad. They were outsourced to 2 corporations, BOTH of which were headed by former Halliburton executives. Gee wasn't there another former halliburton exec who has been robbing america of its blood and treasure? Oh yeah, DICK CHENEY. I wonder how those companies got those juicy government contracts.
