According to the Guinness book of records, any of the Brazilian wandering spiders of the genus Phoneutria expecially the Brazilian huntsman P. fera. Only 0.006 mg (0.00000021 oz) is sufficient to kill a mouse. Even worse is that they often hide in clothing and several hundred bites a year occur annually. However, they only inject venom in one-third of those cases. They are distributed widely in South America. They are also called banana spiders because they would often hide in banana cases.
