Your picture is framed exctly the way you see it in the viewer - no cut off feet or stuff like that. You can also change lenses for more flexibility in the pictures that you take.

You will be able to see way more details in the SLR finder!!! What is the resolution of a typical camera screen? A few hundred thousand pixel? Less than a computer screen, and WAY less than a printout! What is the dynamic/brightness? Can you see the structure in the highlights or in the shadow of your motive on the screen? I can not, I am happy if I see anything at all on those dang screens... Or depth of field: no chance that you see on a screen where the shot will start to blur due to DOF. In short, for serious composition you're lost with those on-camera screens...
