That's not actually true. Old, ugly and bald guys might have self confidence issues. Some people use humor to help themselves feel better and that can result in them joking about how good looking they are.

Because I am! (Just kidding)... :( When your good looks start fading, you have to become bolder to strike up conversations. It actually works. My old ugly single friends do better with the ladies than my Young good lookin' friends do, because they get out and say unusual things to get a conversation started. Unless you are talking about the 53 YO fat guys balding on top, and a pony tail in the back. Also with rich tans, driving a convertible and smoking cigarettes on a stem. If these are the guys you are talking about, I have no Idea what the hell their malfunction is.

Because they need lovin' too and, let's face it... they're already at a disadvantage in today's society. So they need to be a little bolder.

It's mainly down to insecurity, or it could just be denial. However, this does not apply to all older guys
